Even Computers Are Covering Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know
I’m not sure what’s more interesting – the fact that people continue to cover songs with their computers or that I’m oddly intrigued by them and keep posting them. We’ve seen songs such as the James Bond theme song and the House of the Rising Sun all done by computers/hard drives/non-humans, and now we have the song that everyone loves to cover – Call Me Maybe Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know.
The YouTube user bd594 notes that HP Scanjet 3C does the vocals, and there’s also “Amiga 600 Bass on left audio output and Guitar on right audio output, Each audio channel was feed into an oscilloscope, 2 Harddrives as the drums and cymbal, Xylophone as the Xylophone (duh) my apologies glockenspiel, Both the Harddrive and Xylophone are controlled by one PIC16F84A mircocontroller.”
Those sentences contain way too many words that are bigger than one syllable, and therefore I understood about 5% of it. Check out the computer in action below.
