Morning Music Notes – Death from Ugly Sweaters 1979
Banks recently opened for The Weeknd on tour. I guess she’s repaying the favour or being blackmailed, as she has cover his track What You Need. The song was recorded for Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1. If you didn’t know Zane Lowe before this year, I’m sure his trifecta of interviews with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Eminem helped.
The track takes on an interesting perspective with the sexual lyrics now being sung by a female. If you like what you hear, check out the London EP from the Los Angeles singer Banks.
