Morning Music Notes – Twitter and their Silent #music
Childish Gambino, when not pouring his heart out over soul-bearing open letters, makes some pretty good rap music. Oh, he’s also Troy on Community – yup, it’s Donald Glover (for those uninformed peeps). He’s dropped a new track called 3005, which is how many gummi bears I plan on eating for breakfast.
The track features a pretty cool beat, and both singing and rapping from ‘Bino. 3005 is expected to be on a new album, out early next year. Maybe. Check it out below.

Twitter #music, we hardly knew you (and used you). After 6 months, Twitter is shutting down its #music recommendation service. Can you shut down that #FF Follow Friday crap next? (via Pitchfork)
Kanye West has apparently proposed to his baby mama, Kim Kardashian. Maybe he shouldn’t cancel tour dates to focus on his love life, hmmm? (via Gigwise)
YouTube announced the nominees for their very first YouTube music awards show. Categories include best video, best artist, response of the year, YouTube phenomenon, and so on. While there’s lot of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Katy Perry on the list, there’s also Atoms for Peace on the list for Innovation of the Year, for their Ingenue video. (via YouTube)
Did you check out Thom Yorke in the latest Atoms for Peace video? If you did and are wondering how they made it, wonder no more and daydream about better things – below is a video of the process (using a nice live version of the song, too).
