Google Maps Adds 360 Degree Virtual Tours of Famous Sites
We love all things Google Map and Google Streetview related. The latest thing the Google labs have cooked up are 360 degree views of world famous sites, such as my bedroom the Sydney Opera House, the Statue of Liberty, and Trevi Fountain in Rome. Previously, you could look at randomly uploaded pics on Google Maps. Now, they have compiled publicly shared photos on Picasa and Panoramio and compiled them into photo tours of these sites (via Google’s Lat Long Blog).
Watch the instructional video below, or spend some time on Google Maps and figure it out yourself. My parents forced me to figure out everything myself, and that’s why I can only wear velcro shoes as an adult.
