New Album from Best Coast, and an MTV Unplugged Album from Florence + the Machine
A double dose of news regarding bands with female singers (not that there’s anything wrong with that). First up – Best Coast (not sure which coast that is). Best Coast will release their second album, The Only Place, on May 15 (via Pitchfork). The Only Place will feature 11 tracks, including How They Want Me To Be, which appeared on their blog last year. Check out the tracklisting below.

In April, Florence + the Machine will release an MTV Unplugged album, which was recorded at the end of last year (via NME). You can check out the tracklisting below. Note that 2 covers are included – one of Otis Reading’s Try A Little Tenderness, which was sampled by Kanye West and Jay-Z on last year’s Otis; and Jackson, in which Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme came on stage for a duet. How is that for one damn long run-on sentence? Kanye West was in the crowd but unfortunately (?) didn’t join Florence for a duet of their own.
