Listen! Bo Rocha – Angel Eyes

When Bo Rocha popped up on my SoundCloud, I wasn’t quite sure what this track was. It turns out ‘Past Pete’ realized that Kate Sproule, the former lead singer of Mt. Wolf, has a new name for her solo project. Mt. Wolf recently re-emerged as a trip sans Kate. Now it is Bo Rocha’s time to show what she can do.

Bo Rocha goes in a slightly different direction than Mt. Wolf – shedding the ‘folk electronica’ label on her track Angel Eyes. This is more straight up mellow electronica, with a slow, thumping back beat throughout. Sproule’s vocals are excellent as always, especially during the chorus.
