The eclectic band have their usual complex sounds, although the looping beat isn’t at the forefront of the song. Instead, the lead sound belongs to the vocals, which features Rae Morris on vocal duty, too. Bonus: the track was directed by BAFTA winning director, Anna Ginsburg. New album news Part 1 – Queens of the Stone Age have promised to record the …Like Clockwork follow up later this year. If they don’t follow through on their promise, then they’re Unlike Clockwork I guess. (via NME)

New album news Part 2 – Common’s 10th studio album will be called Nobody Smiling. It will be out later this year, and will have production work by No ID. Solid. It’s a concept album about the violence in Chicago and other inner cities. Not so solid. You can check out lead single War below. (via Pigeons and Planes)


After being blocked by Google for shady linking and search engine optimization practices, Rap Genius is back. The site deciphers rap lyrics for you, which is great, as I hear Common has a new album out later this year. (via NME)

The 2014 People’s Choice Awards are Wednesday night. Before you sigh ‘Who gives a shit?!’, any clues who might take home the coveted Favourite Album award? The folks at SportsBettingDime.com have Justin Timberlake as the odds on favourite, with Miley Cyrus right behind him. If this is truly the people’s choice, then I’d rather be an animal.
