Listen! Inventions – Peaceable Child

Two of my favourite ambient instrumental post-rock call-it-something-else-pretentious-genre of music are Explosions in the Sky (who we interviewed last year) and Eluvium. Mark T. Smith and Matthew “Eluvium” Cooper combined as Inventions, and dropped the lovely track Entity. Guess what? Like a nasty rash, they’re baaaaaaack!

Inventions have a new track called Peaceable Child. It has a blend of sounds and tempos overlapping, which is fitting since the overall sound of Inventions is an overlapping sound of the good bits of EITS and Eluvium. The band’s album will be out April 1 and you’d be a fool not to pick it up.
