Yesterday, the Flaming Lips randomly tweeted that they were breaking up. Singer Wayne Coyne let fans know that their Twitter account was hacked. The hackers then promoted Union J, an English boy band. Weird hack for teenage girls to do (via Gigwise)
The Who are planning to quit touring in 2015, when all of the members are finally 100 years old (via Guardian)
My Morning Jacket are playing and hosting a music festival in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in January. They’ve now invited The Flaming Lips (who apparently broke up??) along with Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and a DJ set from Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza. (via Stereogum)
