Listen! Austra – Hurt Me Now

Austra’s debut album was one of our favourite albums from 2011. Austra’s follow up album, Olympia, is out now. Will it meet my lofty expectations, or let me down like this ironless shirt that I always have to iron? We have our third taste of how it sounds, following that of Home and Painful Like. Continuing the pain is the track Hurt Me Now.

The track is a slow, brooding number that becomes more layered and textured as the song progressed and the beat undergoes a slight transformation. Excellent vocals yet again from Katie Stelmanis. Give it a listen and then run to the hills and grab a copy of Olympia.
