PeteHatesMusic’s Top Songs of 2013
Twitter: @PeteHatesMusic
We’re nearing the end of our Best Of 2013 week. We’ve now arrived at one of the most anticipated categories – the PeteHatesMusic Top Songs of 2013. After keeping a list all year, both Rich and I have painfully narrowed down thousands of songs to hundreds, and then hundreds to 10 Honourable Mentions each as well as a Top 10 list.
Below are our favourite 20 songs, complete with a playlist for you to see how wonderful or wonderfully awful our selections were. Selected artists include big names like Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The National; buzz acts like Disclosure, CHVRCHES, Banks, and HAIM; and relatively unknown but very talented acts like Gambles and STACEY.
TOMORROW– The top albums of the year, as judged by PeteHatesMusic. And then – borderline stupid amounts of beer, turkey, and sausage rolls, and maybe we’ll squeeze in a few more posts before 2014.
