Watch! The National – Demons

You know it’s going to be a good Monday when it starts off with a new song by the National. They are releasing their follow up to the excellent High Violet this May 20/21, with an album called Trouble Will Find Me. Our first listen and viewing of it belongs to the track Demons, which you can check out below.

If religious people aren’t put off by the combination of “Trouble Will Find Me” and “Demons”, then they are in for a treat. Demons fits the mold of what songs by The National have come to sound like in recent albums, and that’s a good thing. Deep baritone from Matt Berninger? Check. Somewhat depressing lyrics? Check.
