Morning Music Notes: Muse to close Olympics
Muse confirmed that they would be performing Survival at the closing ceremonies in London on Sunday.
Ed Sheeran and George Michael have also confirmed that they will be taking part, but rumours are still swirling about a Spice Girls reunion.

A-Trak Fighting the Good Fight – Releasing Hip Hop Album in the fall:
The Montreal producer and DMC Champion is putting the final touches on a hip-hop compilation album to be released in the fall. Always a champion of the underground, A-Trak has recently spoken out against “the Hair Metal Soap Opera” that is EDM at the moment – challenging DJs and producers to challenge their audiences.

Noel Gallagher hates his new album – likely won’t release it:
Solidifying his reign and grumpiest guy in rock & roll – Noel has been working on an album with Amorphous Androgynous for about a year. But, Gigwise is reporting that Noel pretty much hates the mix of the album, and isn’t too keen to release it at all…
But since then I’ve been on the road and because of that I’ve not been in the mixing, and I’m not happy with any of the mixes. They’re going backward and forward so then the plan was to get mixing done after the tour, but this tour has gone on so long that there’s been no time, and that means looking at it next year. But by then I fear the moment may have passed
