Coachella in tax battle – may relocate
Certainly some heavy politics in play here – but Goldenvoice is threatening to move the Coachella Festival outside of Indio CA if a proposed tax is put onto the local ballot in 2013.

Organizers have threatened to move the festival site if Indio calls a referendum on a proposed tax that would add between $18 and $36 [USD] to the cost of weekend tickets.

Liam Gallagher sings Oasis
For the first time since 2009, Liam Gallgher sang an Oasis song. His band, Beady Eye, performed Rock N Roll Star and Morning Glory during a show last week in Warrington, as well as a new Beady Eye song, called The World’s Not Set in Stone.

Flaming Lips Play 8 shows in 24 hours – set record
Not certain who is actually keeping these records, but The Flaming Lips’ 8 shows in 24 hours breaks a previous record held by Jay-Z. The shows started in Memphis and weaved their way through Alabama and Mississippi on a tricked-out tour bus named Endeavour. Bad Ass.
