Watch! Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros – Mother

Mother’s Day just passed in North America (it’s in March in the UK – weird, I know!). What better way to celebrate than to play Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros’ new video, Mother? Actually, there are a lot better ways to celebrate, but that was the only topical segue I had going for me. But what if I told you that the video featured the band with their moms? Cute, I know! The song was contributed to the Every Mother Counts benefit album, which also features Coldplay, Eddie Vedder, Bono and the Edge (from some U2 group), and others. Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros were the only band who couldn’t think of a song title that didn’t have mother in it – but why rack the brain when you don’t have to?
