Morning Music Notes – Can Noel and Liam Stay Out of the News?
Muse Likely To Have An Album in 2012
I’m also likely to win the lottery. So it seems the folks at Muse must read PHM, and didn’t take kindly to my dig about their slow album release dates. The band are in the studio, recording their follow up to the excellent The Resistance (via Gigwise).
“They’ve now gone into the recording studio. Hopefully, the album might come out October next year,” the band’s manager Anthony Addis told Billboard. “They’ve written a lot of material already, but you don’t know how it’s going to gel between them all. They write constantly. They write on the road, so before or after a gig they’ll write nearly every night,” their manager added.
Now that Matt Bellamy is a Dad, perhaps Muse will throw us a curve ball by releasing a children’s album. Concept album alert!
Noel Won’t Join Liam in a 2015 Oasis Reunion
Noel “I could get my quotes published everyday in Britain” Gallagher has said that he wouldn’t partake in Liam’s hopes of a 2015 Oasis Reunion (via Gigwise). Sadly, I only publish about 1% of what I read about the Brothers Gallagher, and that might even be too much. With regards to a reunion, Noel, we’ll see in 2015, when you’re divorced and those child support payments are adding up.
“He’s got my permission to go and play it. He can play it if he wants. I don’t mind. I left that band for a reason and that reason still stands.”
We patiently await the inevitable reply from Liam. Liam – you need Noel, just like everyone predicted. Sad that the bookies nailed this one.
Check Out the Latest U2 Achtung Baby Cover Song
The 4th song in the U2 tribute cover album to Achtung Baby is out. We’ve heard Jack White, Damian Rice, and Garbage do their takes. The next song on Q Magazine’s AHK-toong BAY-bi album, which is included in the most recent Q publication, is Depeche Mode taking a shot at So Cruel. Give it a listen. Or don’t. Don’t listen to me.
