ConcertCrowd App Ensures You Won’t Miss < insert band name> in < insert your local city>
Given the vast number of bands that I like, it can be tough a) affording the shows and b) knowing which band is swinging by on any given night. One needs to be active in reading music news sites (such as PHM), checking band websites, evil Ticketmaster, Pollstar, and other sources. Well, one more site is throwing its hat into the ring, hoping to make things wonderful for everyone. ConcertCrowd scours your Facebook page (hopefully you have cool bands listed!), and helps you find out about upcoming shows. It also gives you recommendations, based on how many of your own friends like a particular artist. The app also easily lets you see an artist’s page, lets you listen to the artist’s music, check out videos, and discover new bands and songs. The app is free, and hopes to successfully combine concert events in your town or nearby, as well as the all important social media aspect.
The App just told me what I already know – I will be missing the legendary Arcade Fire show in Edinburgh Castle on Thursday. Stop rubbing it in, social media!
