Listen! Braids – Miniskirt

Braids have returned with a new, powerful statement on the world of sexuality and feminism. The song is called Miniskirt, and I will avoid making any sexual innuendos or offensive, snarky remarks (okay, just one – the song is named after what I wore to my high school prom to match what my date was wearing).

Miniskirt explodes after a couple of minutes, transforming into an electronic, skittery and driven track. The song shifts and morphs throughout, from its initial focus on vocals to a hard-to-keep-up-to beat at times, before slowing it down again.
