Morning Music Notes – Drakespys
Yesterday, we gave you the excellent live collaboration between Daughter and composer Joe Duddell and a 10-piece classical ensemble. Today, we get another treat from the live sessions at Air Studios in the form of Tomorrow.
This is a good sound for Daughter (and pretty much any band if I’m being honest). You can check them out at Massey Hall in Toronto (sans strings) again tonight, and tomorrow night.

Morning Music Notes
Drake seems to be everywhere in sports these days. From recruiting Jermain Defoe to Toronto FC, to being some made up position Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, and being denied entry to celebrate the NBA championship with the Miama Heat, if its sports, it’ll have Drake. It’s fitting to note then that Drake has been named the host of the EPSYs, which is ESPN’s annual sports awards show. It’ll air on July 16. After the ESPYs, let’s see who else Drake can bring to Toronto (points lost if it is Rihanna). (via Stereogum)

Remember that um, interesting Canadian dentist who bought one of John Lennon’s teeth at an auction with the intention of CLONING JOHN LENNON? Once the technology is there, he plans to clone Lennon and raise him as his son. Nope, not creepy or demented at all. (via Consequence of Sound)
For those who don’t want to wake up in a 50 degree Celsius tent at 7am in the California desert might be missing out on the “Coachella experience”. However, if you don’t want to miss out on Coachella, fear not, the webcast schedule is out. You can catch headliners Muse, Arcade Fire, and other acts like Beck, Nas, Pharrell, and more. See the schedule and watch it all over on YouTube.
