Listen! Klaxons – There Is No Other Time

Klaxons stormed out of the gate in 2007 with a stunning debut album, Myths of the Near Future. This was followed up by the average Surfing the Void, although the album had some of the best album art ever (see below).

The band have had a 4 year hiatus, in which one of the band members (James Righton) married Keira Knightley, which to me fully explains why he hasn’t done much musically for 4 years. However, the band have returned today with a brand new single called There is No Other Time.

The track is a bit more poppy and softer than some of their early work, with a slight hint of disco to it. The band are scheduled to have a new album out in the spring, with production work from one James Murphy and Tom Rowlands (Chemical Brothers). Yeah, I’ve heard of those 2 guys.
