Some new stuff from California duo Best Coast. Two guesses which coast they think is the best? Following up recent release Fade Away is the video for a track off of Fade Away called I Don’t Know How, the opposite of a self-help book.
The song starts off as a sun-filled indie pop track, before exploding halfway through to a rocking yet poppy ending. Check out the latest from Best Coast below.

Your winner of the 2013 Mercury Prize for best British/Irish album is James Blake, or as he’s known to Mercury Prize presenters, James Blunt (yes, they called him this earlier in the night). The shortlist included acts like Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie, Foals, Laura Marling, Laura Mvula, and more. His Overgrown album follows up last year’s winner, Alt-J’s An Awesome Wave. (via Stereogum)
Grimes is playing a show in Russia, despite her fans saying people shouldn’t play there because of their ridiculous homosexuality laws. Grimes defended herself, saying not playing a show hurts her fans, not the Russia government. Does she have a point? (via Gigwise)
Manchester’s Elbow have named their new album Carry Her Carry Me. The 2008 Mercury Prize winner’s 6th album will be out March 3/4. (via NME)
