Watch! The National – Graceless

For a band who get slagged for writing “Dad rock”, the National sure do have a comedic side to them. First of all, if you haven’t seen the documentary Waiting for Strangers, do it – even if you’re not a fan of the band. In the new video for Graceless, we see the dapper band shooting fruit with some kind of homemade cannon, much like the potato cannon that I had in high school. The band also hits some home runs with cans of hopefully not beer – that’d be a huge waste.

Graceless is one of the stand out tracks from recent album, Trouble Will Find Me. The track has a classic switch up at the end to a softer outro, something that The National do quite well. Check it out below.
