Listen! Anjou – Sighting

In my quest to discover any and all kinds of post-rock, ambient, and experimental instrumental bands in the early 2000s, I found Labradford, who I quite enjoyed. Two guys from that band, Robert Donne and Mark Nelson, have formed Anjou, and are making all kinds of cool sounds and songs.

Of course, I’m only basing this on one song, which is their new one Sighting. The 8 songs on the self-titled album will be out September 15. In the meantime, below is 7 minutes of distortion, radio transmission sounds, and other droning sounds which come together for an interesting listen.
