Morning Music Notes – Can I 3D Print an Assistant?
Some sunny vibes from La Roux, in a new song called Tropical Chancer (not cancer, like my morning eyes initially thought). The song is off of the July 7 album Trouble in Paradise, which is something you never want in paradise.
We get tropical vibes, some digital steel drums, and just an all-around happy groove. Check out La Roux’s latest below and make your ears happy. (sidenote: when reviewing this post, I realized I did not post the song link. Yes, I am tired – or already on vacation mode).

Alt-J have announced a follow up to their Mercury Prize winning debut album, An Awesome Wave. Their sophomore album will be called This All Is Yours, and will be out September 23. No sophomore slump, okay lads? (via Stereogum)
Fellow Mercury Prize winners, The xx, are at work on their third album in Texas, which is not a wise place for a band that wears all black to hang out. The album is said to be “completely different”, for which I say – sweet! – unless it’s different like boy band different. (via NME)
Klaxons will hit the road this fall in support of their third album, Love Frequency, out next week. Their tour will be the world’s first 3D printed tour. Yes, that’s right – the band will use guitars, synthesisers, amps, drums, lights, basically EVERYTHING on stage – printed from a 3D printer. Fucking wild.
