Garbage Are Back with New Album and Tour

Do you remember Garbage? If you do, and if you like(d) them, you’ll be happy to know that they are releasing their first album in seven years (via Billboard). The album is called Not Your Kind of People. The album is out on May 15, and will lead into a European tour, starting right here in London on May 9.

It’s 2012 – Do You Still Care About Ringo Starr?

If you answered yes to the Ringo Starr headline, then boy, do I have news for you. Ringo Starr has released his latest album, and he wasted no brain power to name it. Ringo 2012 is the album, and it is his 17th solo album, following a massive catalogue of releases with the Beatles. NME is streaming the 9 song album, so head on over there to listen to it.

M.I.A. to Perform at the Super Bowl, Decides Not to Brag About It

The Super Bowl music line up, which already includes 80 year old Madonna and Nicky Minaj, just got bigger by one – Madonna is pregnant! M.I.A. has joined the mix (via Billboard). “Yes, I’m going to the Super Bowl… I’m gonna be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj… If you’re gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go with America’s biggest female icons,” she said. Too bad the biggest female icons won’t be there.

The duo will join Madonna on her new song, Give Me All Your Luvin’. Madonna has a history (well, one time) of making out with female performers joining her – will history repeat itself? And can I bet on this at a bookie somewhere in England?

Watch! Bon Iver’s Grammy Commercial

Bon Iver is up for some Grammys this year – since when are the Grammys cool? Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist (ignore that first album of his) are all for the taking. Bon Iver has been given the We Are Music treatment, which is a series of commercials featuring music/art about Grammy artists (via Stereo Gum). We’re still waiting for our treatment…. Watch the advert below, and root for them, if you so choose.
