Morning Music Notes – I’m the Pope, Bitch

PHM favourites CHVRCHES have a new remix. The track is off of last year’s debut The Bones of What You Believe, and is done by the Range (who is James Hinton to his parents).

The track is not simply taking a song and making it dancey, but a complete re-imagining of We Sink. Check out the slow, dreamy track below, and watch out for CHVRCHES at a festival near you this summer.

Jay Z’s Made in America festival is doing what all festivals do before they go bankrupt – it is expanding. It is going to Los Angeles on the same weekend that it’ll be in Philadelphia, on Labor Day weekend. (via Billboard)

While Krist Novoselic is optimistic that future music with Dave Grohl could happen, Grohl didn’t seem to share that optimism. He’s in Foo Fighters let’s not forget. Meanwhile, Novoselic had to buy a Nirvana tab book to remember how to play the songs. Hopefully no on recognized him.

Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul was at Coachella last weekend. He was masquerading as the Pope in the Arcade Fire’s set full of people in masks. Party. (via Stereogum)
