Listen! Cults – High Road

When a band releases a debut album that you like so much that you name it the album of 2011, the personal expectations are pretty huge for the follow up. This band is Cults, and the follow up is Static, out October 15. We get another track today, in the form of High Road.

Madeline Follin’s singing is superb throughout, forever evoking the classic style of the 60s and 70s. We have some strings, some subtle and almost haunting music, and some pleasant harmonies. This is a promising start. Check out High Road below.
