Morning Music Notes – BSS are Back and That’s No BS
Another Member Quits Nine Inch Nails
First it was Eric Avery, and now Adrian Belew of Crimson has quit Nine Inch Nails, just 24 hours after NIN announced a world tour (via Consequence of Sound). Well that just belews (see what I did there?).
Writing on Facebook, Belew said “hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX.”
Hey Trent, if you need an official tour blogger who won’t quit, look no further.
Learn to Play Guitar with The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach
I have very little musical talent. However, if I wanted to learn the guitar, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys would be near the top of the list for people that I want to learn from. In Noisey’s segment Guitar Moves (a name which Auerbach seems to love), the bearded one of the Black Keys teaches us a thing or two.
Learn exciting things from the man such as how to play slide guitar, as well as Dan’s influences. A must watch for any Black Keys fan.

Feist Joins Broken Social Scene on Live with Jimmy Fallon
As a warm up to tomorrow’s Field Trip Festival in Toronto, the TO indie juggernaut Broken Social Scene ended their hiatus a couple of days early and hit up Live with Jimmy Fallon to play not one but two songs. Oh, and they brought some Feist chick with them, too.
The band are playing You Forgot It In People from top to bottom on Saturday, and last night they played Almost Crimes and 7/4 Shoreline. Check out both of the videos below, and await the inevitable “We’re doing an album!” announcement in the following months.
