- American artists embracing the UK: The UK’s innovation and, frankly, DOMINATION of the bassline is all over US pop music right now, for better or worse. Pretty damn cool to see a crew with some serious street cred give a nod to a guy to whom the current sound of US Hip Hop and bass culture deserves quite a bit of credit.
- USA still rules: The UK has taken hip hop and bass-driven music into exciting new directions. But its home and soul is in the US. And it could be argued that the heart of that home is in Atlanta. The UK has done it well, but nobody can do it like Atlanta. This is proof.
- More cool stuff from the 1017 Brick Squad: Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame have been (and will continue to be) on a tear of releasing exciting new hip hop. Ever heard this? Pretty cool? All their stuff is like this… bad ass.
- More cool stuff from SN1: London’s answer to 1017, SN1’s most famous dude Giggs is making music on XL Recordings – and this guy’s Jamaica-via-London delivery is undeniably catchy.
- You’ll crank it up: We defy you to listen to this in your car without cranking it up. Definitely weekend music worthy.
