Watch! Menahan Street Band – Lights Out

It’s amazing that Quentin Tarantino has developed such a musical style in his films that the first thing I thought of when I heard this instrumental, hip hop-esque track was “this would fit in well with Django Unchained”. Based on the YouTube commenters, we’re either all wrong or all brainwashed.

The brass-filled instrumental track is Lights Out, which is what happens when I mix 8 beers with another 8 beers, which is a hobby of mine. The track is by Menahan Street Band, composed of members from The Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Budos Band and The Expressions. The band just released The Crossing, which is in stores and digital retailers (if they truly exist) right now. Check out Lights Out below.
