Morning Music Notes – How to get a free burger & bap.
Go to Reading or Leeds this year:
If you have a weekend ticket to attend Reading & Leeds this year, you’ve been granted the greatest gift of all – a free beer.
How to get your bap (for North American readers, a “bap” is a much more fun way to say “…on a bun”): If you’re camping, you’re going to get vouchers with your tickets that you can redeem at any of the ‘food for campers’ kiosks on site.
How to get your beer: Chief Organizer Melvin Benn says that this is even easier:
As you walk out of wristband exchange for the first time a team of festival volunteers will be waiting to give every weekend wristband holder a bag with three cans of beer or soft drinks, one for each of the music days. What’s even better is that the bag is a recycling bag, which you can fill with empty cans to get even more free beer! It’s on us so I hope you enjoy it!
Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and… Eminem?
No. Not quite. It has been widely conjectured that, after a grainy picture of Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar in a studio hit the internet, that there was a third collaborator – Eminem.
Eminem’s publicist has denied this rumour, but still fairly significant news that arguably Earth’s biggest pop stars and a young hip-hop talent with tons of buzz are working together on new music.
If you’re unfamiliar with Kendrick Lamar, give this a listen… now picture Lady Gaga singing the hook in a meat suit…

Dr. Dre working on crime drama for FX, will not be as good as The Wire:
Although we have lots of jokes prepared for the day Dr. Dre signs on to produce a medical drama, there’s not much we’ve got prepped for a crime drama that covers the links between the crime and music world’s in Los Angeles.

BREAKING NEWS: Humans love cat photos!
If only more of Planet Earth’s problems could be solved by people sending in cat photos…
A 16 year old girl in Seattle who is awaiting a bone marrow transplant has more than 3,000 cat pictures to help cheer her up. Her Seattle hospital took to the internet and asked the world to send Maga Barzalla Sockemtickem pictures of their cats, so that they could complete a ‘cat immersion project’ where a tent over Maga’s bed saw a feed of cat love from around the planet.

Jeff Ross Makes Aurora Massacre Jokes to Roast Roseanne:
Personal rant here: Because something is controversial or dirty, it is note therefore funny by definition.
I’ve heard a few people over the years comment about how a guy like Bob Saget is, in fact, quite funny. Although I would agree that it’s remarkable that the guy from TV’s most disturbingly wholesome sitcoms is actually an extraordinarily foul-mouthed comedian; I disagree that Bob Saget is actually funny. Maybe, in person, he is. But in the media, hs just says dirty stuff… that’s it.
This is same way I feel about Jeff Ross, and the “comedy roast” circuit. It’s foul, it’s dirty, it’s crude, but is it actually funny? Some of the stuff he says is so far across the line of decency, that I instantly laugh – but am I laughing because it’s funny, or am I laughing because I’m nervous… I don’t know.
I do know that potential disasters can be funny. Actual massacres are sad. Using an actual massacre as material to roast Roseanne is desperate.
The jokes were cut from the final taping. You can read them on Rolling Stone…
