Watch! Rupert Stroud – Always

In an industry where the bottom line always counts, it’s refreshing to see songs with proceeds going to charity. It’s also nice when it comes from a new act, who theoretically needs the money, and not some big act casting away their b-sides to some compilation disc. The artist I’m referring to now is Leeds singer-songwriter Rupert Stroud. With a mellow sound and a booming voice, Rupert has released his song, Always, to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Thankfully, Always is not a Bon Jovi cover, but an impressive, original song. Also impressive: my ability to eat 5 Big Macs in 1 sitting a whopping 100% of the proceeds go towards the cause, which is 100% nicer than anything I have done in the past decade. But I’m changing everything with this one post.
