Watch! Twin Shadow – Five Seconds
Back in May, PeteHatesMusic let you listen to the new track, Five Seconds, by Twin Shadow. In that post we also told you that song was off the upcoming new album, Confess, due out in July. As Pete noted, the song has a real 80’s sound to it. Now, Twin Shadow (aka George Lewis Jr.) has released a new video for the track Five Seconds.
I was hoping this video would literally be five seconds, easiest video write-up ever! Unfortunately for me, Five Seconds is over five minutes long. The video is another one of those music vids that tries to present itself as a mini-movie with beginning and end credits to wade through. It takes over 90 seconds of intro before the song even starts in the video. It appears to be influenced a little by 1950s/1960s biker films and perhaps a little by the Mad Max movies. There is a frantic pace to the video until everything goes to slow-motion for nearly the last three minutes of it. The end of the clip sets up another possible follow-up video for another new song, Patient. Check out Five Seconds by Twin Shadow:
