Watch! Sigur Rós – Ég Anda
My keyboard likes it when it gets to use letters with accents to break up the mundane, QWERTY normality of being a keyboard. What I’m trying to say is that Icelandic band Sigur Rós have a video off of their new album, Valtari. The album is out May 28 in the UK, May 29 in North America. The film is part of the Sigur Rós ‘Valtari’ Mystery Film Experiment. As described on YouTube:
“The series of films is launched today with a film to the track ‘Ég anda’ from Ragnar Kjartansson. Films will then be rolled out every couple of weeks beginning the Monday after album release (June 4), and extending through the summer in what will hopefully be a dizzying array of stylistic approaches and end results.”
Catch the first dizzying offering, in the form of Ég Anda, below. The movie displays some tips on cue cards to help someone who is choking. I now have the desire to re-read Chuck Palahniuk’s excellent book, Choke, and fake choke on my own food (reference is lost for the majority of people who have not read it – but I don’t care).
