Listen! Soundgarden – Live to Rise

Seattle 90s alternative rock day continues here at PeteHatesMusic – something I didn’t think I’d type any time soon. Earlier, we posted a Kurt Cobain tribute, and now we have new music from fellow Seattle rockers, Soundgarden. Soundgarden have a new song, their first in over 15 years, which will appear on the Avengers soundtrack. The soundtrack itself doesn’t have the best bands, featuring Papa Roach, Theory of a Deadman, and other bands who have been irrelevant for 15 years, but hopefully the likes of Kasabian and Soundgarden can turn in a good show.

The track was debuted yesterday, and has been ripped and put up to YouTube. Give it a listen below (before it gets taken down, as these things so often do). Sounds like Kim Thayil still knows how to rip out a good guitar solo though.
