The Avengers Soundtrack Will Feature Kasabian, Soundgarden, Scott Weiland, and More
The Avengers is the summer blockbuster that will feature the Marvel Comics characters in what might be a dud of a flick. Here in the UK, the movie is actually called Avengers Assemble, because of that 1998 spy film Avengers, with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman. PRETTY sure people wouldn’t confuse the two. The tracklisting for the soundtrack has been announced, and it’s not half bad (it’s not half good, either – yup, stole that joke from Waldorf and Statler from the Muppets).
Kasabian will contribute a B-side, Pistols at Dawn, which tells the Avengers that they are only worthy of their table scraps. However, Soundgarden have recorded a brand new track, Live to Rise, and you can even hear a snippet (yes, a 22-second, worthless SNIPPET) of the track below. Check out the tracklisting below, and pray that one of the Avengers (hint: Scarlett Johannson) is on the album cover.

It looks like all the heavyweights were recruited for this soundtrack. We have, um, Papa Roach, Nickelback tribute band Theory of a Deadman, Buckcherry, and Bush. Are we sure this soundtrack isn’t for the 1998 Avengers movie?!
Snippet of Soundgarden – Live To Rise
Wow, this soundtrack is utterly dismal! Evanescence? Papa Roach?? Theory of a Deadman?? Yeesh…
