So sad – Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard Happy to Time Warp Past Valentine’s Day

Ben Gibbard is the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie. He was married to everyone’s favourite girl next door, She & Him singer / actress / objection of my affection Zooey Deschanel. Unfortunately, they have since recently separated. Ben is still apparently reeling from the split, and through the magic of the International Date Line, will skip over Valentine’s Day. He took to Twitter to revel in his mini victory, and to make all his girl followers sad. On the bright side, it might lead to one hell of a new Death Cab album.

Flying to Australia tonight, landing 2/15. Sometimes the international date line gives you a gift in what it takes away.
