Morning Music Notes – You’d Better Know That Jay-Z and Beyonce Are Married – Or Else
The Killers To Release New Album in 2012
For those awaiting a new Killers album (possibly to redeem their last one or two so-so efforts), wait no more – they vow to release a new album in 2012 (via Gigwise). Lead singer Brandon Flowers recently spoke to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 and said:
“”It’s just exciting getting everyone in the room to make some noise,” he said. “It’s quite a bit louder than with my solo thing, so I’ve got to get used to that. We don’t want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam’s Town 2, or Day & Age 2. We’ll maybe take all that stuff, the best of all of it and do what we know how to do.”
I certainly hope you don’t make a Sam’s Town 2 – that was bloody awful!
Kanye West Floods Everyone’s Twitter Account
I awoke this morning to check my Twitter feed and saw that 95% of the tweets overnight were from one Kanye West. It turns out he is currently in London, so if he doesn’t stop tweeting, I’m comin’ to getcha, Kanye! He started tweeting about his new DONDA fashion line, his fashion choices, Steve Jobs, the Grammys – pretty much anything. He fired off about 75 tweets in about 3 hours, which is nothing to Stephen King, but a lot for a site that only lets you send 140 characters per message. Some “highlights” include:
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.”
“My area of expertise is in music, my passion is in music design film and products… my strength is connectivity”
“excuse me… I just get excited at the possibilities… the more excited I get… the more grammatical errors you’ll see”

You Don’t Know Jay-Z and Beyonce Are Married? Sounds Like a Legitimate Reason to STAB YOU!
Only in America – a man was stabbed in Ohio on New Years Eve because the victim did not know that Beyonce’s husband is Jay-Z! (via Fox 8) The victim and suspect were watching a music video (presumably one with Beyonce) when the “debate” ensued. The victim is in good condition now, and now firmly knows that Beyonce and Jay-Z are married.
