Jonny Greenwood to Score New Paul Thomas Anderson Movie, The Master

That Jonny Greenwood is a busy guy. He collaborated with Composer Krzysztof Penderecki in the summer. He has played some one off shows with Radiohead, who released an album earlier this year (as if I need to tell you that). And now he is set to continue his recent trend of scoring Hollywood movies, by agreeing to score the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie, The Master (via NME). Jonny Greenwood did the soundtrack to another Anderson movie, There Will Be Blood. The jazz group, Zen U, are set to help collaboration on the score with Greenwood.

Things won’t slow down for Jonny, as Radiohead have announced parts of their American and European tour dates for 2012, including the recent announcement of the Bilbao BBK festival in Spain, and the Optimus Alive festival in Portugal. Stay tuned for full blown tour dates (and PHM excitement) in the upcoming weeks. Or else.

In case you don’t know Jonny’s solo work, check out a video for Moon Trills, one of his songs from Bodysong, a documentary which he scored.
