Muse to Begin Recording New Album

Now that Matt Bellamy is done making babies with Hollywood actresses, Muse are ready to go to the studio to record a new album, starting this September (via Gigwise). After self-producing their latest effort, the band gave no indication about the direction or scope of their forthcoming effort. They will continue their epic tours, however.

“We’re always going to be the kind of band that want to get out and play live,” said bassist Chris Wolstenholme. “As the years go on there’s that temptation to cut the touring down less and less but we still love playing live.”

Easy to say when you’re not in your 40s though.

Pretty Green Ain’t So Pretty

The riots and looting that started in London this past weekend continue to spread to other parts of the country. Indie record supplies were damaged by the fire in a London warehouse earlier this week. Now the latest musician affected is none other than mouthy Liam Gallagher. His clothing line, Pretty Green, had a store in Manchester ransacked by looters (via NME).

“To add insult to injury, Sky News described the ex-Oasis/current Beady Eye frontman as a “former rock singer”.”

I guess Sky News has heard the Beady Eye album as well!
