It’s Tuesday, which means we’re still closer to Monday than Friday, but we can be happy by filling our ears with sounds from the following new album releases:
Bon Iver – Bon Iver: Hopefully you listened to this album from the cool widget installed on this site. If you did not, you can now purchase it, and hope that you like it. No word if Kanye returns the favour and does any guest production or vocals. Actually, there is word, and it is No.
Michael Bolton – Gems: The Duets Collection: Michael Bolton has revived his reputation by guesting on the Lonely Island album and doing that awesome video. This album finds Bolton teaming up with Seal, Rascal Flatts, and others.
Simple Plan – Get Your Heart On!: Nice innuendo, boys. All part of the simple plan? I think I like Blink’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket more, in both name, and career-wise. Guest vocals from Rivers Cuomo and K’Naan might change my mind, though.
Weird Al Yankovic – Alpocalypse: Clever name, Al. No, I mean his name, Al, is clever. Decided to shorten Allen. I thought it was really odd when Godspeed You Black Emperor asked Weird Al to play at their curated festival last December. It turns out that a) he is still alive and b) he is still making music. Al spoofs Lade Gaga and more on his unlucky 13th album.
