Weekend Music – Flux Pavillion & Dillon Francis – I’m The One

Big bassline producer Flux Pavillion (London) released a new EP this week called Freeway. There is quite a bit of interesting music on there (a highlight – this collaboration with Turin Brakes), but none of them quite scream ‘weekend music’ like his collaboration with Dillon Francis (LA): I’m The One.

It’s screams ‘weekend music’ for several reasons. One, it literally screams. Although starting to become cliché, I defy you to not bob your head to the giant screaming lead. Two, it builds and builds and builds and builds and… Three, brings you to a surprisingly blissfull, Daft-Punk-esque drop. All the elements of a great track to feel great cranking up on a Friday.
