Listen! Lauren Mayberry (from CHVRCHES) – Killing In The Name Of (Rage Against the Machine cover)

This is interesting. Delicate CHVRCHES singer Lauren Mayberry (who we interviewed, in case you missed it) has covered – wait for it – Rage Against the Machine. No, she doesn’t scream ala Zack De La Rocha. Instead, we get a sweet melodic version of a RATM track.

Mayberry decides to tackle the foul language-filled Killing in the Name Of. It’s pretty hilarious to hear “Fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me” sung in a lovely voice. Lauren sings the track with her pre-CHVRCHES band Blue Sky Archives. Check out a live version of it below.
