Earthquake Songs: Your Aftershock Music Playlist

I just felt my first earthquake! For those who didn’t have the pleasure of feeling the power of some almighty angry God the Earthquake, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that was centered in Virginia hit just before 2:00 pm, with aftershocks felt as far away as 550km here in Toronto. As such, PHM thought it would be a good time to post some songs about earthquakes. Nothing wrong with a little earthquake music to re-enforce the fact that you survived.

First up is a little rap that Will Smith does when an earthquake hits in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (possibly the show that aged the worst from all of those 90s sitcoms).

Up next is Earthquake Weather by Beck. You don’t hear enough weather forecasts that call for Earthquake weather.

Tori Amos – Little Earthquakes is a nice little song, which is what you might want after running for your life.

AC/DC – Shake Your Foundations kicks up the noise a little.

An older one, Iggy Pop and the Stooges – Shake Appeal. Iggy Pop has the weirdest (read: grossest) body alive.

Also check out Housequake by Prince, and the obvious although not directly related classic It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine). Missing any other ones?
