Lupe Fiasco burst onto the rap scene as Kanye West’s protégé. Then, he sort of didn’t maintain his mainstream success. He released Lasers last year, and is returning with a double album this year, called Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album. You can listen to one of the tracks below, called Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free). The track samples Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth’s song from 1992, They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.). And Pete Rock isn’t happy about it.
