CMW Critical Conclusions for… The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger (Canadian Music Week 2015 concert review)
The final band at the Friday night CMW showcase was The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (aka GOASTT).
Venue: The Horseshoe Tavern
First Impression: Did Sean Lennon borrow his mother’s hat?
Stage Presence: Nothing over the top – just rocked out and played their way through the tunes.
Crowd Reaction: They were a mixed bag. They applauded loudly for other songs, tepid cheers for others.
Random Observation: Can anyone get through a review without mentioning a comparison to his father (that would be John Lennon) and his band? Low hanging fruit.
Last Word: 6.5/10. Good vocals, but not great or memorable tracks. Good guitar work throughout, and a few nice outros and solos. However, the songs never really grabbed me.
