Listen! Ryn Weaver – Promises

Back in June, we posted a track from young Los Angeles singer Ryn Weaver, and it turned out to be one of our most popular posts over the past month. The track OctaHate, was made with help from Cashmere Cat (Norwegian DMC champion), Benny Blanco (Pop Music song writer du jour), and Michael Angelakos (Passion Pit). The latest track is not as catchy as OctaHate (but is pretty damn close at times), and dives more into the pop realm than PeteHatesMusic is comfortable with; so yeah, it’s still a good little ditty.

The track is called Promises, which is what I make, but inevitably break, when I tell my girlfriend that I’ll take out the garbage, and instead write blog posts like this one. Amazingly, the song is also about this! The song shows off the vocal talents of Weaver, and the songwriting team behind her. No word on her album release or what her plans are, but keep an eye on her as she slowly explodes (like some kind of gassy space object).
