Morning Music Notes: Dear Chuck D…
Public Enemy mastermind and Hip Hop forefather Chuck D tweeted a letter he received from Tupac, part of a correspondence he and the late Hip Hop star had while Tupac was in prison in 1995. Lots of interesting stuff here (read more via Rolling Stone), but a few highlights:
- I will never complain about Tupac’s song titles using ‘2’ instead of 2, and ‘Z’ instead of s (Eyez). He did it EVERY TIME.
- Tupac hand-wrote intelligent letters with his peers, which I’m quite certain does not happen today, 19 years later.
- Kids these days…
