Morning Music Notes – Keep July 5 Free
Aussie electro dance rockers (clearly they play several genres) Cut Copy are about to go on another big tour. Ahead of that, they released a special little treat for Record Store Day.
Only 2000 printed copies of their single In These Arms of Love were made. The B-side is a slower, thoughful and melodic rock track Like Any Other Day. Give it a spin below.

Jay Z was involved in a bizarro extortion scheme involving some of his master recordings. Producer Chauncey Mahan had found recordings from 1998 to 2002 and planned to auction them off, the cheeky bugger. LAPD detained him (thanks for the tip, Jay Z!), and they will remain in possession of the masters until a judge decides who gets them. I hope they pick me! (via Hollywood Reporter)
Austin City Limits has announced its 2014 line up. We see a mash up of several other festival headliners, including Pearl Jam, Eminem, OutKast, Beck, The Replacements, Lorde, Belle & Sebastian, Interpol, Skrillex, and more. Tickets go on sale this morning for the October 3rd – 5th and 10th – 12th double weekend festival. (via ACL)
Rumours of the Libertines reuniting, to play Hyde Park no less, gained further steam when Carl Barât said “Keep July 5 free”. Maybe he’s have a tea party? (via NME)
