Listen! Ekó – Between the Lines

We have some ambient instrumental music for you from Norway via Iceland. The artist is Ekó (aka Lárus S. Jóhannesson, who makes me wish I had accents in my name). Recordings are done in forests, or in the comfort of an apartment, making sounds with instruments, cassette tapes and field recordings.

From this we have a SoundCloud page full of sounds ahead of Ekó ‘s first show, which is January 12 at Cafe Mir, Oslo (for all of our Norwegian readers). January 12 is also my birthday, so feel free to mail me presents. Maybe it’s because I know there are forest recordings (and some background water sounds), but the featured track, Between the Lines, reminds me of walking through snow in a forest on a day where the snow is just starting to melt.
